The SOUNDWELL DEK is an interactive Instrument designed by Dean Martin Hovey. It allows the user to play perfectly in the Key of any song automatically.
Stream a song from your computer and The DEK will instantly lock in Key correct notes over its sensors providing you with the perfect music environment to play in.
This Smart Mode works through our free Playlist Player and also with Ableton Live using our Max For Live patch.
You can also use the DEK in standalone mode and Select the Key to play in manually. On Key selection, The DEK will map single notes and chords across your instrument in the selected Key. With the ability to change note duration, engage Mono, DYAD, TRIAD, 1st inversion, 2nd inversion or the 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th The DEK is capable of voicing any chord you like.
There is no Load time on Key Select - all Scales are present immediately so you can select on the fly without interruption allowing fluid key changes as you play.
Transpose the Key with the use of the PITCH up and down controls. The DEK also features a Transport control for use with your DAW.
We also offer Scale Expansion Software where there are more than a Million Key Scale options to choose from, you can create your own Scales from scratch !
The heavy duty frame allows safe travel to and from the studio, jam session or live performances. The multi color backlit keys allow for a clear visual everywhere you play.
